The Libya based airline Afriqiyah Airways has said earlier today that its flights are back in air and flying. The airline has seen its share of the hard time that Libya, as a country is facing nowadays. Tensions are escalating as scores of people are losing their lives in Libyan protests and riots against the Government.
Afriqiyah Airways operates flights to Lagos, Accra, Johannesburg and many other prominent destinations from UK. Its UK hub is located at London Gatwick Airport.
Sources confirmed today that Afriqiyah airport will be offering its thrice weekly flights to Tripoli, Libya on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. The return flight from Libya back to London will fly on Sunday, Wednesday and Fridays in the coming days.
Also the airline has stated that the flights cancelled during the curfew days and air space shut down in Libya, will be fully reimbursed. Travelers are encouraged to renew their reservations and recheck their flight schedules before leaving home. For refunds, of the cancelled flights, kindly contact your booking agent or the Afriqiyah Airways directly. Please note the refund process may take a while, since there are hundreds of travelers and pending reservations in the pipeline. The airline has requested its passengers to remain patient.
