The UAE based carrier has announced an increase in capacity to its global network that will be part of the much advancement expected by Qatar Airways this year.
The airline that rules the UAE scene for its finest Business Class seats side by side amazing cheap flights to Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa, also wears the crown of world’s first five star rated airline. The increase to an array of destinations across the entire global network of Qatar Airways is to be phased in from March 1.
In 2010, the airline has not only welcomed a number of new aircrafts in its fleet and scored a century in fleet size but also, the passenger demand has ever increased, which is one of the many reasons for that have triggered the action. The Doha based carrier, also exhibited the plans to include three additional weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur making it a double daily operation and two extra services assigned to the Dar Es Salaam Tanzanian, that will double its daily flight frequency.
Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer Qatar Airways addressed:
“These capacity increases yet again demonstrate Qatar Airways’ commitment to building our route profiles in line with our strategy to offer passengers more travel options.”
He further added: “From Europe and Africa to the Middle East and Asia, our network will see more capacity, improved schedules and, more importantly, more choice for our large passenger base and new clientele. There will be further route expansion announcements over the next few weeks.”
On the Bangalore (India) route, Qatar Airways is looking forward to upgrade from a narrow-body Airbus A320 aircraft to a wide-body A330 that will mark the first anniversary of the route’s launch. Qatar’s flights to India are highly popular in the UK market where a large majority of Indian settlers and students prefer to fly with Qatar Airways.
